Short Story – we usually don’t get heavy rains in the late summer or early fall of the year – we did about 3 days ago – it kept coming down – the grass was soaked – the Road and gutter was flooding – we cleared the gutter – started piling up dirt – call the construction company – some one came out and moved more dirt – the rain slowed down – the water moved down the gutter etc.. we still pumped out the basement…

Some neighbors came and helped – I was drenched – changed wet clothes and took a shower…

No matter of online effort would have done a thing in this case – old fashioned work and hands on deck is what moved the dirt… slowed the flooding – thanks to Neighbors and construction man who came out on a Saturday!
